During this process it is heated and stored when it encounters impermeable rocks. On its way to the subsoil it comes in contact with various geological formations and is enriched with minerals, trace elements and salts that make it suitable for therapeutic purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Heated, it becomes lighter and quickly rises to the surface through geological cracks, mixed with seawater and enriched in chlorides (see Mihalis Papadakis). This water course, from the surface to the depths of the earth and back to the surface, can last up to 500 years.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Doctor of Geology, Mr. Zisis Angelidis, the thermal water source of Agiasmata is classified in Category II (Allipiges) among Greek thermal springs. A basic characteristic of this category of thermal waters is that their composition is similar to that of seawater (see Dr. Zissis Angelidis, Therapeutic Natural Resources and Thermalism, 2007, pp.
